A Chinese teenager Fu Wengui, 15, was diagnosed with congenital scoliosis and an abnormal chest frame which has now resulted in growth of three extra vertebrae in his neck which makes it much longer than
normal which result to pain and difficulty in his movement. The condition is called congenital scoliosis, caused by the bones in the spine developing abnormally in the womb likely caused by bad posture, exercise or diet. Fu endures pain and reduced mobility, because the vertebrae press on the nerves in his neck and make it difficult for him to walk.

The normal number of vertebrae in a normal person's neck is seven, but Wengui's Father, Genyou said his son has 10 and it causes stir when he's out. But hope has smiled on him as a Beijing-based charity 'Hope for a better future' agreed to finance a procedure and treatment, and surgery procedures is been analyzed by doctors in Chaoyang Hospital with the aim at reducing the length of his neck and ease pain which cause him discomfort. We sure hope that Wengui surgery comes out successful .
