Love gone sour. Boyfriend Rhys Culley, 23, was found guilty after a trial at Newcastle Crown Court, after he was been accused of severely biting the lip of his girlfriend Chanttelle Ward, 18. It was gathered that Culley was jealous and felt insecure with his girlfriend, and
was always having doubts about what she was doing when he was away working. Both of who have been in a relationship for over two years and it seems Culley could not just lay his doubt to rest by simply trusting Ms Ward.

The whole trouble started when Culley and his girlfriend got back to home after they have finished from ward's mother birthday party. The night which had earlier started in a good mood turned sour as Culley brought up a conversation that his girlfriend had had with another man on Facebook. Cully then demanded to see his girlfriend phone and he discovered the messages where no longer there which made him furious. She became very scared and tried to put a call across Culley's mother but, Culley took the phone from her, and also looked the doors before unlashing terror on his victim.

Miss Ward told the court during trial that Culley had tried to kiss her and asked her if she still loved him before the bite. The bite was so severe, that Ms Ward thought her top lip had come off. Before the sudden attack, Prosecutor Emma Dowling said "Culley kicked and punched Miss Ward, pulled her hair, threw her into furniture and chucked things at her before finally launching the frenzied facial attack, rubbed his face in hers smearing the blood across her face and then he stuck his tongue into her mouth". "When the police arrived scene, they saw both had blood on them and over their faces. Culley was arrested and Miss Ward was taken to hospital to have her injuries examined. The Pictures were also used as evidence against the accused Culley, in the court which did not go down well for him. During his evidence Culley said he did not mean to harm his "beautiful" girlfriend, who he knew he was lucky to have. The accused has been found guilty, remanded in custody and will be sentenced next month. How many months sentence will you give Culley if you were the judge ?
