CHINESE FISHERMAN NETS GIANT WHALE SHARK
A bigger truck is certainly needed for this transportation. This was what a Chinese fisherman Cai Chengzhu got as he cast his net to catch the regular sizes of fish he normally get on his daily
routine as a fisherman. But was later smiling with a 17ft long fish. This is a massive whale shark and the question is not only where the fisherman got this huge catch, but how he manages to get it tired onto his small truck which was not usually used in conveying such a load. Since the catch was already made the fish had to now bend to its owner new rules i guess.
Whale sharks are species protected in China, and it is an offence to buy or sell them. Though the professional fisherman denied not knowing the giant catch was a whale shark, which raised little suspicion, he later added that the shark forced its way into his fishing net to eat smaller fishes that were already caught, and it got caught itself, and unfortunately died when efforts to release it from the net were unsuccessful. Since it was accidentally caught and died during the process of regaining it freedom,
Mr Cai hoped fisheries officials might allow him to sell it. The photo was taken in Xianghzhi in China’s eastern Fujian province and Mr Cai is on its way to the market in Shishi with his giant catch with a price tag of about 10,000 and 20,000 Yuan (£960 and £1,920 about N207,420 and above).
